[ARCHIVED] Safe Medication Disposal Located at FVPD

The Fountain Valley Police Department (FVPD) has a Safe Medication Disposal Receptacle for public use. Please come by and dispose of any prescription medications in the disposal unit in the lobby of the Fountain Valley Police Department (10200 Slater Avenue, Fountain Valley). Before disposing of prescription medications, be sure to remove all personal information on pill bottle labels and medication packaging. All of your medications dropped off at the take back locations will be destroyed. For additional questions, please call the FVPD business line at (714) 593-4485.

What is accepted:

  • Prescription medications
  • Over the counter medications

 What is not accepted:

  • Illegal drugs
  • Needles
  • Lotions or liquids
  • Inhalers
  • Aerosol cans
  • Thermometers
  • Hydrogen peroxide
