The City provides comprehensive, on the job training to prepare candidates to become a Firefighter. All candidates will be hired as Level 1 Reserves. Upon completion of specified proficiency and shift requirements, Level 1 Reserves may be promoted to Level II Reserves. The Reserve Program is a valuable opportunity to gain education, experience, and training the Fountain Valley Fire Department.
