The City Council of the City of Fountain Valley approved an ordinance enacting an Administrative Citation System for municipal code violations.
Ordinance No. 1466 (PDF) allows a municipal code violation to be prosecuted civilly, like a parking ticket. Because violations would be considered civil, the offender will not be subjected to criminal sanctions.
The Administrative Citation Program allows authorized staff to issue an administrative citation for a code violation.
